    Health and Social Care Apprenticeship (Level 2)

    This apprenticeship covers a wide range of job roles in the health care and social care fields, within the NHS, local authority or the private sector. An apprenticeship in Health & Social care is about helping people with a particular need, such as the disabled or the elderly. As an apprentice in Health & Social Care, you could be a personal care assistant helping someone in their everyday life.

    Content

    The intermediate apprenticeship framework can be achieved in a 12-18 month period however some apprentices may take up to 24 months to achieve the full framework. You will be expected to attend college 1 day per week for 10 months (Sept to June)

    Features/Benefits

    After successful completion of this Apprenticeship there is good scope for progression. You may move up through levels of work, for example, from care assistant to key worker.

    You will benefit through regular contact and support from teaching staff.

    Entry Requirements

    - To be over 16 years of age
    - To have secured employment in an appropriate role within the sector
    - To have completed the setting induction procedure
