Access to Higher Education Courses

Overview

Our Access courses have been specifically designed for those individuals (19+) who want to return to their studies and gain the necessary qualifications for progression into higher education. As an institution, we welcome diversity amongst our student body and we seek to encourage learners of all ages to enrol with us regardless of their level of academic discipline.

Allowing you to choose the programme that is most convenient for you, our courses can be studied either full-time (one year) or part-time (two or three years) and tuition fees are calculated accordingly. Loughborough College aims to equip you with the necessary skills for further progression and many of our Access students achieve a high level of success in advanced level qualifications.

Access courses are usually timetabled for two whole days a week, (for example 9.15am - 4.15pm, Tuesday and Wednesday). This timetable allows students to more easily arrange childcare, work arrangements and other commitments. You may be able to study GCSE Maths on a further day subject to satisfactory completion of a Maths diagnostic test.

"I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to make a difference. Age is not an issue at all. Everyone in the group has a similar mindset of what they want to achieve."
