Introduction to Loughborough College
Loughborough College was established in 1909 and celebrated its centenary in 2009. The college is state-funded and has UKBA `Highly Trusted` status as an approved education provider.
Loughborough College has about 9000 full and part-time students with 300 international students from 35 different countries worldwide making an interesting multi cultural environment in which to study and live.
College students can access over 100 clubs and societies on the Loughborough University campus located next to the college on approximately 433 acres of green, open space. Experienced and qualified teachers guide and support students throughout their studies.
The colleges modern, high-tech environment, Progress Tutor support, innovative teaching and learning make it an excellent pathway to university. High standard halls of residence located next to the college and a separate block for students aged 16-18 with 24 hour warden support give that extra assurance for parents and students.
All international students on full-time programmes are offered FREE English Language lessons in addition to their chosen programme. Academic English progarmmes at Loughborough College are accredited by the British Council
Loughborough College has close links with external organisations such as the British Council offices both in the UK and worldwide, TVET UK for the development of overseas partnerships both for the delivery of vocational training either in the UK or overseas. UKCISA the organisation supporting international students while in the UK. We also take an active role and attend briefings with UKBA for up to date information and feedback on visa changes.
Loughborough College also work closely with their UK university partners to deliver, foundation level programmes, HND's, Foundation degrees and "Top-Up" degrees which are externally awarded by the universities.
