Airport pick up on arrival

We want our participants to enjoy their experience in the East Midlands in the most satisfying way. We always prefer to meet our arrivals at the airport or station and make sure they settle straight in to their accommodation. This minimises the stress and leaves the participant free to enjoy the experience of meeting new people, in their host families, or at least getting to a new address without worry!

We arrange this with your organisation as part of our service.

Home Stay Family

Most LLP projects request accommodation with host families - ideal for the fullest experience of British culture. Breakfast and evening meals are provided. All our home stay families are visited regularly by the Accommodation Officer to ensure that they have safe, warm and comfortable homes and offer a friendly welcome.

How often have the host family become real friends? Too often to count. It is up to the participant to share as much as possible in family life. They are the front line of support while the participant is working and learning.

We try to encourage this type of accommodation as there is no option but to communicate in English!

Self-found accommodation

Some groups prefer to arrange their own accommodation (easy enough over the internet although we are available for guidance and help). One disadvantage of this is that the group will spend a lot of time speaking in their own language -- not practising English! There is also no direct support provided by the College. While we do not recommend this, many groups have done this and still enjoyed a rich and fulfilling experience.

To avoid extra weight when travelling, an individual bedding pack can be provided for a cost of £25 and includes, a duvet, pillow, sheets and pillowcases.
