Criminal Records Bureau (CRB Checks)
Many of the work experience placements we offer insist that participants have the relevant Police or Criminal Records Bureau checks as a pre-requisite. This is no reflection on the participants but a very sensible approach to offering the widest possible range of safe and sensible placements.
Although not every employer will require this, they are so easy to get and so cheap (typically about €2,50) that we feel every participant should be advised to make sure they have this. Details differ from country to country but usually there is a local agency (or regional office) that will provide this quickly and easily.
Knowing that participants have this in place will save time (and expense) as we arrange their appropriate and valuable work experience.
