Lifelong Learning Programmes
Visa status (if non-EU National)
Lifelong learning programmes differ from the International programmes in that they offer work experience rather than full-time education. Anyone with EU citizenship is free to enter Britain as part of an accredited project.
However, we have encountered applications where the individual is from outside the European Union – even though the sending organisation is located within it. In this case, the individual must apply for a Tier 5 visa – for temporary work within UK as part of a government-authorised scheme.
Details of how to apply can be found at the National Agency Tier 5 visa advice page
Please note: This procedure is entirely independent of Loughborough College and should be completed well in advance of the Lifelong Learning Programme the individual is undertaking. We have no input or responsibility for this process.
