Pensions
As a salaried member of staff you are also eligible to join Pension Scheme and would contribute a percentage of your salary each month. We run two different pension schemes, one for support staff and one for teaching staff.
Support Staff:
The Local Government Pension Scheme is run by Leicestershire County Council. It is a tax approved, defined benefit occupational pension scheme. The benefits under the scheme are based on the length of your membership and your final salary. It is very secure because the benefits are set out in law.

Lecturing Staff:
The Teachers Pension Scheme is run on behalf of the Department for Education by Teachers Pension. It is a defined benefit occupational scheme and provides pension cover for around 1.4 million individuals.
