Bursary Funds

The Loughborough College Bursary Fund is designed to help students, aged 16-18, from a low income family to meet some of the costs incurred as a result of studying.

The Enhanced Bursary is available to all “Vulnerable Students”, aged under 19 as at 31st August before the start of the chosen academic year studying on a Further Education course.

The Young Persons Learning Agency considers Vulnerable Students to be the following:

  • a young person in care
  • a young person leaving care
  • a young person in receipt of income support in their own right
  • a young person who is disabled and in receipt of Disability Living Allowance AND Employment Support Allowance
There is also a Discretionary Bursary offered by Loughborough College for students under the age of 19 studying on a Further Education course, with a low household income and not receiving the Enhanced Bursary. For more information, advice and guidance please do not hesitate to contact us on 01509 618 375 or by emailing studentfinance@loucoll.ac.uk. We are here to help.

For students aged 19+ there is a Discretionary Adult Learner Support Fund (DALSF) available to provide assistance in a number of areas. For further details and an application pack please e-mail your request to studentfinance@loucoll.ac.uk or telephone 0845 166 2950.
