Bursary Funds
The Loughborough College Bursary Fund is designed to help students, aged 16-18, from a low income family to meet some of the costs incurred as a result of studying.
The Enhanced Bursary is available to all “Vulnerable Students”, aged under 19 as at 31st August before the start of the chosen academic year studying on a Further Education course.
The Young Persons Learning Agency considers Vulnerable Students to be the following:
- a young person in care
- a young person leaving care
- a young person in receipt of income support in their own right
- a young person who is disabled and in receipt of Disability Living Allowance AND Employment Support Allowance
For students aged 19+ there is a Discretionary Adult Learner Support Fund (DALSF) available to provide assistance in a number of areas. For further details and an application pack please e-mail your request to studentfinance@loucoll.ac.uk or telephone 0845 166 2950.
Full-time UK Students
You are entitled to free tuition if:
- You are under 19 on the 31st August 2011
OR - You are taking your first full level 2 or first full level 3 qualification.
You may also be eligible for free tuition if you are receiving Job Seekers Allowance
