Many of our Higher Education courses are validated by a number of universities which we have excellent links with. This means that once you complete one of these courses you will have a degree from one of those institutions even though you will have studied at Loughborough College.
There are a range of possible Higher Education qualifications that you can take at Loughborough College:
Two Routes to a Degree
BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND).
Popular and established qualifications, HNC and HND courses are widely recognised and highly regarded. We offer many of our courses in flexible modes of study from full time to part time day release, block release or evening options.
Foundation Degree
Loughborough College was one of the first in the country to offer a foundation degree and it continues to build on that success with a growing range of programmes on offer. The courses are full time or day release, often with work-based learning and distance learning components.
These qualifications are intended to be designed together with employers to meet the growing demand for highly skilled people who know their subject and can apply it in the workplace. The focus is on equipping you with the combination of technical skills, academic knowledge, and transferable skills employers are seeking in the modern job market. You can seek employment after completing the course or choose to top up to a full honours degree.
Top-Up Degree
Successful foundation degree and HND students are eligible to progress on to a final year degree programme at Loughborough College, validated by our partner universities. This will lead to a first degree with honours.
