Apprenticeship summary

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To provide 1st line technical support to the business
  • To manage all IT related queries received either by phone, e-mail or our Helpdesk system
  • To be responsible for ordering hardware and managing the IT itinerary
  • To manage user expectations with respect to fix times
  • To take ownership of support problems and to be proactive when dealing with user issues
  • To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles
  • To ensure all computers are running to their optimal speeds
  • To take ownership of the internal CRM system
  • To write procedures / IT processes for the business
  • To provide IT support to the whole team at Precision, by ensuring all IT queries are dealt with and supplier relationships are managed
  • All set tasks are completed on time and efficiently handled to provide the best possible service

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Experience with Google Drive, Gmail and all google products - training provided
  • Understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration
  • Basic networking skills

Personal qualities

  • A flexible, ‘can do’ approach is also important
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Able to problem solve
  • Patient attitude with users
