Apprenticeship summary

Duties will include:

  • To be able to produce components/tooling using a range of manual machines safely and to the required quality and within reasonable time scales
  • To be able to setup and operate various CNC Machines to produce accurate components safely and to the required quality and within reasonable time scales
  • To be able to read drawings and measure components to the drawing tolerances using various measuring kit
  • To be able to finish basic components on both surface & cylindrical grinding machines safely and to the required quality and within reasonable time scales
  • To be able to select the correct grinding wheels, balance and dress them for specific components
  • To be able to finish diamond turn components to drawing tolerances and handle them carefully
  • To be able to use computers and software to aid in the manufacture of components
  • To have a general understanding of all aspects of the business
  • To participate in a modern apprentice scheme and undertake LEAN Manufacturing training as required
  • Salary to be discussed at interview. This will depend on qualifications and previous experiences

Annual Wage: £12,000.00 - £17,000.00
Working Week: 37 hours between Monday to Friday, hours TBC
Apprenticeship duration: 36 months
