Apprenticeship summary

  • Adheres to the Warehouse & Inventory team work plan as agreed with the Manager
  • Ensures inventory is accurate and rotated according to batch requirements and demand
  • Books deliveries with Customers and ensures Blue Diamond orders are processed on time
  • Ensures all despatch paperwork is completed accurately both physically and on SAP and that orders are confirmed in a timely manner
  • Undertakes stock checks in a timely manner in order that Customer Services can respond to queries as required
  • Picks stock according to demand and timing of despatches
  • Generate the required data for measurement of the performance of the warehouse operation
  • Ensure locations and areas are appropriately labelled and housekeeping is to required standards
  • Co-ordinates the maintenance of equipment in conjunction with the agreed suppliers
  • Acts consistently with the Company values and ensures an empathetic, team based approach to people
  • Be an advocate of continuous improvement to increase picking efficiency and space utilisation
  • Implement and maintain continuous improvement methodologies
  • Is tenacious and does not let standards or corrective actions be ignored
  • Ensure compliance of all H&S and product safety and quality standards and team ownership of audits and results
  • Able to cover agreed tasks of colleagues for periods where they are not on site
  • Liaises with suppliers to offer best cost options to meet customer needs
  • Ensures a pro-active approach to situations
  • Promotes a positive and professional working ethos and environment. Ensures compliance with instructions to reduce energy consumption in your workplace, reduce, reuse and recycle materials where possible and where necessary to dispose of materials carefully to ensure Company compliance with legal obligations

Working Week: Monday - Friday Typically Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm Friday 8am - 3:30pm Hours may vary
