Apprenticeship summary

They will need to have good attendance and timekeeping, good presentation skills and be smartly dressed. They will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Answering the phone
  • Delivering post 
  • Greeting clients in reception and making drinks
  • Filing and archiving of client records
  • Undertaking bookkeeping and VAT services for clients
  • Preparing spreadsheets analysing client records
  • Reconciling client records to bank statements
  • Accurate input of client information into accounting and tax software
  • Calculating accounting adjustments such as depreciation, prepayments and accruals
  • Calculating tax to be paid using specialist tax software
  • Talking to clients on the phone regarding accounts queries
  • Emailing queries to clients
  • Accompanying senior staff to client premises for accounts and audit work

These open plan offices provide a pleasant and modern working environment for an apprentice to work towards their qualifications.

Apprenticeship Framework:Accounting
Annual Wage: £9,750.00
Working Week: Monday – Friday 08:45am – 5:00pm, including 45 min lunch break.
Apprenticeship duration: 18 months
Possible start date: 06-05-2019
Level: Intermediate
