APPRENTICESHIPSUMMARY

This is an exciting opportunity to join our design and sales team with their day-to-day queries, ensuring factories and customer requirements are achieved. You will assist designers in design elements, trend research, trend boards and prepare showrooms for meetings. While also being responsible for preparing samples to be sent to customers.

• Assist Design & Sales team with day-to-day queries and development/production critical paths
• To prepare samples ready for post to customers / overseas for the factories
• To assist, set up and submit sample requests for factories so samples can be produced with the correct designs, shades, shape, size, machine type and yarns
• To create and submit specification folders to our factories to advise which styles have been approved for bulk production accurately and within the required timescale
• Liaise daily with internal staff in design, technical, merchandise and sales, with our external production teams (Turkey and China) and also attend meetings when and where requested
• To prepare refreshments and lunches when required for visitors
• To assist the designer in design elements, trend research, board presentations, prepare showroom for meetings, and design cadding at a later stage and maintain achieves of samples
• Complete training courses on illustrator/photoshop
• Understand designs from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns, Health and Safety implications and technical specifications for designs
• Monitor CAD submissions and sampling process to assist momentum of sales opportunities
• Adding information such as prices, approvals onto company PRM system
• Understand the consequences of any product changes that impact on other areas in the business & communicate accordingly
• Present an appropriate professional image in representing the Company both on & off site
• Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with the post
