APPRENTICESHIPSUMMARY

JC Metalworks in Loughborough are looking for a commercial apprentice to join the team. The apprentice will get to experience and spend time across departments such as, accounts, finance, estimating, marketing, purchasing and project management which will allow them to gain a good understanding of the business and how it works! The role includes ensuring our clients have a clear contact point, build relationships, develop an understanding of their key drivers, utilise software to analyse trends and keep strategical account plans up to date.

As a commercial apprentice, you will learn the fundamental aspects of the commercial department and assist with ensuring our customer journey is as smooth as possible.

After spending time training in each commercial area, you will gain a good understanding of tasks and processes in:

• Estimating - Starting with a brief, utilise our manufacturing software to understand how to convert information from technical drawings into a competitive quotation
• Account Management - Ensure our clients have a clear contact point, build relationships, develop an understanding of their key drivers, utilise software to analyse trends and keep strategical account plans up to date
• Marketing - Understand target markets, carry out research and analyse website data to identify opportunities, create assets that enhance our brand both internally and externally
• Purchasing - Gain knowledge of our suppliers and processes, place orders within parameters to ensure our shopfloor is supplied with essential materials

Please note; this is not an accountancy qualification. This is a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. There will be time spent in different departments, such as accounts and finance but anyone looking for a specific accountancy certificate should be aware that this is a different qualification.
