This is a very fast paced, busy environment, working within an established team.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the role will consist of the following duties and responsibilities supporting a range of duties within the sales & administration function.

To provide an efficient, timely and accurate administration support service to the I-Beam Department, whilst learning new systems to further enhance their knowledge. Alongside this role the successful candidate will be provided with full I Beam Design training which will involve a CAD based system to further their knowledge of I Beams with the goal to fully assist the Business Development Manager with House Builder based site queries and issues.

Once trained the successful candidate will also be put through their CSCS training to enable them to visit House Builder sites as required. Whilst the role will start in the admin, it is our aim for this role to be progressive into the role of Business Development Assistant.

The role will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Ensuring the accurate and proficient maintenance of filing systems
  • Fielding queries in a professional and efficient manner, and thereafter relay the queries to the relevant team member
  • Accurate data input
  • Ensuring the timely and proficient response to all general e-mail’s
  • Assisting in making appointments for the Business Development Manager
  • Chasing of Quotes issued by the design team
  • Reviewing and implementing price increases
  • Attending client meetings/site meetings alongside the Business Development Manager
  • Assisting with the production of sales-based reports
  • Sales and customer support via phone calls
  • To act in in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy

The ideal candidate would be someone looking to start a career in a forward-thinking company. Whilst the Business Admin Level 3 apprenticeship is for a period of 18 months, we are hopeful this person would become a longstanding member of Harlow Bros I Beam Department.
