APPRENTICESHIPSUMMARY

Key component parts being:

  • Work alongside HSEQ Team members, providing sound and correct guidance to others within the team, the operational functions and wider parts of the business, supporting it to achieve improvements in HSEQ performance, enhancing our reputation and ensuring HSEQ compliance with both GPFS & GPL requirements
  • Working collaboratively with other key stakeholders across the business to achieve the defined group objectives
  • To ensure that as first point of contact within the HSEQ team for all stakeholders, you demonstrate capability and knowledge of the requirements to support the business
  • Develop the role to further encompass HSE Training and experience

Administration responsibilities:

  • To ensure that customer portals are kept up to date with the required information to retain business
  • To respond to customer questions and queries
  • To ensure that depots receive all relevant information from the HSEQ department (toolbox talks, safety alerts, insurance documentation and any other documentation as directed)
  • To book relevant training and upload all training records to the nominated database (DCPC etc.)
  • To ensure training certificates are sent to depots for display purposes or onward circulation
  • To ensure that distance vision checks across the whole company are undertaken by contracts and records forwarded to H&S department. This includes any eye test vouchers that may be required
  • To ensure that random drug and alcohol testing is undertaken on a monthly basis and that 100% return rate is returned
  • To ensure that all other relevant H&S documentation sent in from operations depots and centres is checked for accuracy and filed in the relevant location. Any anomalies to be reported to Head of HSEQ or HSEQ Manager as soon as possible
  • To issue on request induction packs across the business ensuring that the correct contents are delivered to each depot
  • To ensure that the re-calibration of all alcoholmeters is undertaken which results in minimal impact to the business
  • Raise purchase orders as required
  • To answer all accident and near miss reports and confirm receipt. To also escalate all notable accidents and near misses to either the HSEQ Manager or Head of HSEQ
  • Ensure that all consignment notes from national suppliers (i.e. Slicker) are uploaded for future reference
  • To ensure that all noticeboards are kept up to date and hold relevant information
  • Ensure KPI’s and other key data is readily available, up to date and ready for monthly reports and board meetings

  • Promote HSEQ standards as part of a range of business measures
  • Communicate HSEQ business significance and implications to the wider team
