APPRENTICESHIPSUMMARY

Brush in Loughborough are recruiting apprentice Fitters to join their team in Summer 2023. Apprentices will work closely with team leaders and production managers to deliver quality transformer products, including tap changers & control cubicles and internal assembly of 33kV,66kV and 132kV transformers.

  • Adhere to all health and safety rules, requirements and safe systems of work
  • Understand internal assembly drawings
  • Undertake specific tool training
  • Perform preparation of the tanks for tanking of the core and coils assembly
  • Operate all process machines such as crane, oven, brazing machines, oil filter machines, stud welding machines etc
  • Touch up painting of transformer parts
  • Preparation of gaskets and other necessary tools for the final assembly of transformer tanks
  • Measuring cable length of transformer tank & cutting external wiring cable as required
  • Understand engineer drawings to build transformers
