Completing this specialist programme will provide you with the qualifications needed to studyone of ourAccess to HE progammes
The Pre-Access course is made up of a variety of qualifications which will be tailored to your individual needs and previous qualifications. You will be able to study GCSE English, GCSE or Functional Skills Maths and a Level 2 certificate in preparing to study either Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities OR Health Studies.
The Level 2 Certificate is made up of a variety of credit based modules which are specifically selected to help you to develop the skills you will need to study on our Access to HE programme and at university. The Level 2 Certificate will be assessed through coursework and some in class tests allowing you to gain feedback as you complete work and improve your skills throughout the course.
You will study modules related to the subject area you wish to study the following year as well as a variety of ICT, English, Maths and Study Skills modules which will prepare you for your Access to HE course.

Following the successful completion of the Pre-Access course you will be guaranteed a place on an Access to HE course at Loughborough College. After which you will have the option of either moving into full-time employment or progressing on to Higher Education.
