During these qualifications you will receive constant guidance and training throughout which will involve hands on training from your workplace mentor that is allocated to you.

You will be taught all theory knowledge at college of which you will attend one day per week or on a two week block. You will also be allocated a personal assessor who will visit you in your place of work where they will develop and assess your practical skills.

Entry Requirements

  • A work placement.
  • Level 2 or GCSE C in Maths and English but if you have not achieved those levels we can offer you extra tuition.
  • Level 2 qualification in a relevant automotive qualification.

Progression Opportunities

After completing the Level 3 apprenticeship qualification you will be recognised in the industry as a fully qualified automotive technician.

There is always room for progression within the automotive sector; you could progress to Level 4 Diagnostic Technician or Level 4 Management.
