The Beauty Therapy Apprenticeship has been designed to develop your skills to an advanced level through a variety of techniques.

This course is for those who have completed a Level 2 Beauty Therapy course and want to upskill. As a beauty therapy apprentice, you’ll assist senior therapists and learn a range of skills and techniques. You’ll work closely with clients and will need the ability to put them at ease and generally be pleasant and personable.

Course Content

The apprenticeship course is part time to fit around your work commitments. You may be required to attend college on a day release, or your tutor will visit you in the workplace.

Subjects covered:

  • Improve facial skin conditions
  • Carry out waxing services
  • Perform spray tan services
  • Shape and colour eyebrows
  • Perform hand and foot treatments
  • Apply make-up

For the NVQ element of the Apprenticeship, students will attend the College one day a week at our on-site facilities, which include salons, a spa, massage room, and various other beauty therapy facilities.

Entry Requirements

GCSE English and Maths at grade D or above, or Functional Skills English and Maths at Level 1. Apprentices will ideally have previously completed a Level 2 Apprenticeship or VRQ in Beauty Therapy.

Progression Opportunities

Promotion opportunities exist to become a senior therapist or make-up artist.
