Blended learning provides the perfect combination of online/distance learning and contact day attendance, which is ideal for those balancing their studies alongside other professional or sporting commitments. The programme allows you to develop your teaching and coaching skills, gaining knowledge and understanding of the disciplines underpinning effective sports coaching and performance for different ages and abilities. You will put your theory into practice within futsal through applied studies, placements and assessments.

Course Content

Renowned for our provision of high-quality teaching, your learning will include online lectures, seminars and activities, as well as coaching practice and independent study. Assessments include a range of essays, projects, presentations and reports. Such diversity will allow you to experience various modes of academic and professional practice, developing your abilities and refining your skills in preparation for your next steps. We have an excellent support system in place. Academic tutors will work closely with you throughout the duration of your programme, supporting your development and tracking your academic progress to ensure that you achieve your best.

This programme is delivered in partnership with the International Futsal Academy. You will have the opportunity to work and/or play with the International Futsal Academy. Playing opportunities include both regular coaching and competition opportunities. The programme is planned to improve your futsal performance, knowledge and experience within the leading futsal educational environment. The blended-learning nature of the course will enable you to learn flexibly around your sporting commitments as part of the International Futsal Academy.

Entry Requirements

  • 72 UCAS points, including GCSE English and Maths (level 4 or above)
  • Students on this course are required to join the IFA

Progression Opportunities

Many of our successful students have applied to PGCE programmes to pursue a career in teaching, with others gaining employment in international or local authority coaching, professional clubs, and National Governing Body programmes. Students also progress on to postgraduate study.
