Course Content
This degree programme will provide you with experiences such as managing stages and performing at an established music festival, and participating in an Arts Council-funded multiagency partnership arts project. You will also be supported in completing a work placement with regional industry partners. In addition to your regular lectures and seminars with our faculty of experienced professionals and academics, you will receive masterclasses from visiting industry experts. Year one of the programme comprises areas of study which provide grounding in a number of fundamental areas, including performance, composition, recording and business acumen. The second year allows students to contextualise and apply these skills in vocational scenarios, including the opportunity to produce and market a professional release, and an industry-based work placement. Successful graduates of year two will have achieved a Foundation Degree in Arts (Creative Music Production) and have the opportunity to continue their studies for a third year under the BA (Hons) programme.
