This Apprenticeship trains you to work in an accounts department, helping a business or organisation manage their money properly.

Every business involves financial activities, therefore Accounting Apprenticeships could involve working in a variety of organisations and job roles vary. The variety of roles makes this an attractive profession to enter.

Course Content

This level provides an enhanced Apprenticeship offering which is skills-focused. You’ll focus on financial team leader skills, including financial statements for limited companies, complex management skills, and specialist learning areas. This level also focuses on developing your essential business skills to support you in the working environment.


An accountancy apprenticeship gives you a professional qualification in accountancy while you are working and also provides recognition of the development of your communication and numeracy skills. These skills will help you to improve your career prospects and your salary.

Entry Requirements

Previous Level 3 Apprenticeship or qualification in a business-related area.

Progression Opportunities

  • Upon completion, you can become a full member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
  • A Higher Apprenticeship can aid you in your progression to further studies such as ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, and CIPFA through exemption of certain parts of the syllabus.

Mode of Attendance:
The Apprenticeship course is part time to fit around your work commitments, you may be required to attend college on a day release or your tutor will visit you in the work place.

Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeships available.

Before you can start an Apprenticeship, you need to be in employment. The course start dates are flexible to fit around your employer.
