The ILM Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading aims to give practising or potential team leaders the foundation for their formal development in this role. The qualification does this by developing a wide range of team leading skills and assisting participants in gaining the comprehensive knowledge required by a team leader. This qualification broadens the skills and knowledge in a flexible and practical way.

Course Content

This is an 8 week course aiming to develop team leading skills, developing performance, leading the team, motivation and communication skills, dealing with change and business improvement techniques . You are required to achieve a total of 13 credits for the level 2 certificate. These credits are achieved through a selection of units such as:

  • Developing yourself as a team leader
  • Planning and monitoring
  • Leading your work team
  • Dealing with Change
  • Developing the team
  • Motivating the work team to perform
  • Business Improvement Techniques

Entry Requirements

A good understanding of the English language and the ability to be assessed in both practical and written assessments is required.

Progression Opportunities

The qualification will enhance your CV whilst developing skills that you can put into practice in the work place. Successful completion of this course can enable you to progress onto the ILM Level 3 Certificate in Effective Management.
