ILM 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring will help you to gain a critical understanding of the role and responsibilities of a workplace coach and mentor. Course will look in detail at coaching and mentoring competencies, theories and models and ensure understanding of the styles are fully understood, for effective development and style implementation. Course is action learning orientated, which allows development of the coaching or mentoring style to develop within a constructive and supportive environment.
1. Understanding the Skills, Principles and Practice of Effective Coaching and Mentoring within an Organisational Context.
Unit provides an in depth understanding of coaching and mentoring. Understanding is assessed through a report.
2. Undertaking Effective Coaching or Mentoring within an organisational context.
Unit allows learners to actively coach, and monitor own development through a portfolio. Portfolio collated is the assessment for the unit.
3. Reviewing Own Ability as a Coach or Mentor within an Organisational Context.
Unit acts as an overarching reflection on own ability and development as a coach. The assessment is effective completion of a reflective journal.
