This apprenticeship is delivered predominantly within a classroom environment (usually on a day release basis) where the apprentice is able to access excellent resources to develop their practice.
The delivery team are vocationally expert and are able to share their knowledge and experience of excellent accountancy practice.
The apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a dedicated Instructor/Trainer. The Instructor/Trainer will liaise with the employer to ensure that the progress of the apprenticeship is maintained. In addition, the apprentice will utilise the support tools within the electronic mapping and tracking tool that the College utilises
- AAT Level 2 Certificate
- Functional Skills Maths Level 1 (if required)
- Functional Skills English Level 1 (if required)
- Processing booking transactions
- Control accounts, journals and banking
- Basic Costings
- Work effectively in accounting and finance
- Computerised Accounting
There are no entry conditions for this Apprenticeship framework. However, many employers require good (A*-C) GCSE passes in English and Maths.
Apprentices are exempt from Functional Skills if they hold GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics.
Apprentices will have the opportunity to progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship in AAT (Level 3)
