Brand new Loughborough College International Foundation Programme launches

Posted: 26th October 2017 - 11:54am

The successful launch of Loughborough College’s brand new International Foundation Programme has seen students from no fewer than nine nations begin their studies.

Representing countries including Japan, India, Nigeria, Spain, China, Moldova, Romania, UAE and Kazakhstan, courses in Business, Science and Engineering or Sport are putting the students on a path to some of the country’s top universities.

Loughborough College brings long-standing international expertise to the programme’s inaugural year and Head of International Mark Henebury says the new group is already embracing student life outside the classroom.

“They’ve all joined our joint Loughborough College and University Student Union and signed up to clubs and societies – some of the footballers already have several games under their belts.

“We’ve got a diverse student population at the College and the new group are enhancing that – everyone benefits.

“This is a high-level course that’s the equivalent of completely A-levels in one year for students with English as a second language. But we set them tasks in advance so they’ve really hit the ground running - and with small classes and a long course, we’re enabling them to achieve the best results they possibly can and to progress to the UK’s leading universities.”
