Local businesses were on the lookout for new talent at Loughborough College this week with hundreds of students packing the Employability Fair.
Young people studying at sixth form and degree level at Loughborough College heard about openings for part and full-time work and apprenticeships, further study and training in a range of industries and benefited from employers’ specialist advice.
Amanda Hearne, Lead Job Coach for Bridge to Work at Loughborough College, said: “The atmosphere at the fair was fantastic with lots of really positive meetings happening.
“I came across one student having a great chat with IT company Peter French Technical Services - and soon after discovered that as a result, he is in line for an apprenticeship beginning in September, which was a fantastic outcome.
“Overall the event was a great success.”
