French luxury beauty brand offers Loughborough College students exciting industry insight

Loughborough College students have been given an exciting insight into the beauty industry by luxury brand Clarins.

Rebekah Hurst, a former College student who is now a manager with the company, offered valuable advice on careers with the French skincare, cosmetics and perfume giant.

“It was fantastic for our students to be visited by such a prestigious brand and to hear first hand how they can progress into the industry,” said Claire Springthorpe, hair, beauty and sports massage lead at Loughborough College.

“To see Rebekah, who used to study beauty at the College like them, at manager level at only 27 was really inspiring for the group. Another former student, Erica Pearce, who recently left us, now works for Clarins at High Cross in Leicester. This helps make the career feel within reach for our learners.

“The tips Rebekah gave on applications and preparing for interview and the insight into the high standards expected if you work in the industry were brilliant.

“The students were even given a facial workshop with Clarins products. They thoroughly enjoyed the day.”
