A Health Spa Week launched at Loughborough College has proved a resounding success.
Featuring a range of beauty and hair treatments as well as breakfast and lunch at the College’s Radmoor Centre, clients had nothing but praise for the series of pampering days.
“This was the first time we have offered a Health Spa Week and our students were heaped with compliments with approaching 30 clients commenting on the excellent service, the relaxed environment and how professional it was. They said it was a wonderful day – one even called it ‘absolutely fabulous’. In fact it was such a success that we have arranged another Week,” said Claire Springthorpe, Beauty and Sports Massage programme lead at Loughborough College.
“More than 30 of our beauty therapy and hairdressing students indulged clients with Dermalogica facials, full body massages, manicures and pedicures as well as wash and blow dries. They welcomed them with breakfast and also took them from our training salon to the restaurant to enjoy their lunch – which was provided by the College’s hospitality and catering students and staff.
“It offered our students an excellent insight into the expectations of a commercial salon and spa and an incredibly valuable opportunity for them to be assessed as part of their courses.
“We’re all really looking forward to our next Health Spa Week in February, although I’d urge anyone who is keen to book to do so quickly - we’re already almost full!”
