Henry Weir has been getting kitted out for Rio after being named for the GB Men’s Hockey team this week.
The Commonwealth Games medallist and former Loughborough College student will be making his Olympic debut in Brazil this summer.
Following the announcement that he had secured a spot on the 16-strong squad for Brazil, Henry said he was “so proud and honoured to have been selected for the Great Britain Olympic team” and today tweeted: “Team GB kitting out. Bring on the fresh garms.”
Henry, who graduated from Loughborough College with a BSc (Hons) in Sport Science, made his senior England bow in December 2012 in the Champions Trophy in Australia and competed for England in the men’s hockey tournament at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, winning bronze.
Fellow Loughborough College alumnus Nicola White has been selected for the women's Rio GB Hockey squad.
