Loughborough College announces official China education partnership

Loughborough College has officially announced its education partnership with China’s Mon Academy A-level Centre.

CEO John Doherty and Lilac Education Group president Wenxian Liu unveiled a plaque to mark the opening of the Mon Academy UK Sixth Form Centre at the College and its support of Lilac’s Academy A-level Centre in Handan.

John Doherty said: “We are very much looking forward to our partnership with Lilac Holding and Mon Academy, providing expert advice and assistance in establishing a sixth form centre to support Chinese students’ success in their academic studies and future life.

“Loughborough College is proud of its history serving a local, national and international body of students. As a global and outward looking college, we feel we have a duty to work with international partners to share best practice, to enrich the experience of our students and staff and to invest in students’ education around the world – and we’re pleased with the flourishing relationships we have established over more than two decades.”

Angela Mogridge, Head of International at Loughborough College, added: “Following my recent visit to Handan, China to meet the outstanding Lilac Mon Academy team, I am delighted and excited for our collaboration and partnership with such an excellent education institution.”
