Loughborough College today joined the record breaking The Big Assembly as part of their National Apprenticeship Week 2018 activities.
Students packed into the College’s theatre for the live video stream which was attempting to beat last year’s record of 10,000 people all online at the same time across the UK for careers advice and guidance.
“This year’s Big Assembly was introduced by Education Secretary Damian Hinds and gave Loughborough College students the chance to hear from apprentices and employers including the BBC, Boots and Travis Perkins,” said Careers Coordinator Andrew Spencer.
“The students were excited to join the virtual audience in this interactive broadcast with the featured apprentices and employers responding to a selection of tweeted questions.
“It was an interesting way for our students to find out more about the opportunities open to them for the future and hopefully they will have been part of a new record.”
