Loughborough College set to welcome public to art talent showcase

A showcase highlighting the work of around 150 talented students will be on public display for the first time when Loughborough College throws opens its doors for a major art exhibition.

The College will be welcoming the public to the launch of Image Not Available which features a range of photography, fine art, sculpture and graphic design created by students over the past year.

“This exhibition offers a brilliant opportunity for Loughborough College students to show the amazing range of the skills and ideas they work with every day,” said Loughborough College art lecturer Tony Cheetham.

Danny Willis will be displaying his work in the student-led exhibition: “I’m enjoying my art course. I can easily communicate with the teachers and we are encouraged to produce a wide range of work using different mediums. This takes me out of my comfort zone but that helps me build a library of skills and to improve as an artist.”

Kamile Jokubaviciute is reaching the end of her first year of her art course at Loughborough College. “I have really refined my skill set over that time and it has encouraged me further to pursue a career in art. The exhibition is a good opportunity to showcase and witness what we have accomplished throughout the year.”

Image Not Available launches on Thursday 6 June 2019 and will be open to the public from 4.00 – 6.30pm at Loughborough College, Radmoor Rd, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 3BT. Visitors will also have the opportunity to view the exhibition on Friday 7, Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 June from 10.00am-4.00pm after registering at the College’s reception
