Loughborough College male staff decided to take the rough with the smooth to raise funds for Comic Relief this week.

Chest and leg hair became a thing of the past for Commercial Facilities Business Development Manager Chris Power, Radmoor Fitness and Spa Duty Manager Daley Frances, Personal trainer and Fitness Instructor Ryan Walker and Fitness Instructors Dom Freeman, Alex Nwenwu and James Walker as they had every follicle ripped away in the name of charity.

Loughborough College beauty students provided waxing services as the six male staff gritted their teeth in the hope of topping a £300.00 target.

Fitness Supervisor Ruth Benjamin came up with the idea to boost funds for Comic Relief and Loughborough College Beauty and Sports Massage lead Claire Springthorpe volunteered the level 3 students Emily Faulkner, Jessi Edwards, Lucy Ashworth, Hannah Newton, Samia Chowdhury, Hannah Kuzniar, Georgina Smolinski and Jo Cripps to assist.

“The event was a great success, the guys had leg and chest waxes and were very brave,” said Claire.

“Lots of laughter was had and plenty of grimacing was witnessed as we raised an excellent amount of money for a great cause! “
