Loughborough College students put Art and Soul into exhibition

Students from Loughborough College have been showcasing their talents at the Art and Soul Exhibition.

The gallery space at the College highlighted a range of work from the budding artists, included photography, sculpture and drawing.

Emma Ledsam, Creative Arts lead at Loughborough College said: “We exhibit our students’ work several times over the year, often with pieces from everyone. But this was a more focused selection.

“We wanted to feature some of the more unusual work to show how there has been a progression from earlier in the year, with students experimenting and perhaps becoming bolder as they move through the course.

“They are growing in confidence and trying out different forms and techniques. One student created a teepee at the centre of the gallery.

“It is a bit of a pun we have used for the exhibition title but there is a very serious message behind it.

“Our students really do put their heart and soul into their work.

“For many of them, to have this outlet to express themselves is absolutely vital - and they have produced some outstanding work.”
