Radmoor Day Nursery at Loughborough College celebrates major report

Ofsted has praised Radmoor Day Nursery and the holiday club at Loughborough College for the “exciting and stimulating activities” offered by its “extremely effective” staff and described its partnership with parents as “strong”.

As they prepare to launch a brand new venue, the Nursery and holiday club is celebrating the latest report from the education watchdog rating them Good in every single category.

On awarding the grade, Ofsted judged safety at the nursery and club to be effectively promoted and that children were found to “make good progress and gain skills that help them with their future learning and starting school” - including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those who speak English as a second language.

The report also highlighted that: “Parents are encouraged to contribute to the assessment of children’s learning and development and are provided with good information to help them guide their children’s learning at home.”

“We are delighted with the outcome of our inspection by Ofsted,” said Radmoor Day Nursery manager Veronica Savill.

“It is gratifying to see that both our nursery and our holiday club for four to 11 year olds were rated Good across the board.

“We were particularly pleased to see the inspectors remark on our home from home atmosphere and how much the children enjoy all the activities we provide – and how they gain skills and progress as a result.

“The report is a real testament to every one of our staff in the nursery and the holiday club and is a fantastic boost for us and for all the parents of our children as we build towards the exciting launch of our new facilities in 2018.”
