Radmoor Holiday Club children turn chef at Loughborough College rooftop restaurant

Posted: 6th June 2016 - 1:26pm

Radmoor Holiday Club children had a bird’s eye view of the town when they turned chef in Loughborough College’s rooftop restaurant recently.

More than 30 youngsters joined College chef Stuart Finn at the pizza ovens in The View as part of a week of activities with the Club.

The 4- 11 year olds designed and created their own pizzas from the bases to a range of delicious toppings before watching them cook in the huge ovens - and enjoying them for lunch.

Holiday Club Leader Danielle Hill said: “The staff joined in and made their own pizzas too. The children loved it. In fact, we had asked them for ideas at the last holiday club and this was something they were all desperate to do.

“One of the children said it was ‘the best lunch ever’ and another called is ‘awesome, better than a take-away’.

“We had done an arts and crafts activity in the morning to design the pizzas and Stuart judged that after lunch – with Orla, Jacob, Aurelia and Holly winning prizes.

“It was a busy week including indoor den building, a farm trip and a visit to Loughborough fire Station. It was great fun.”

Booking begins soon for the next Radmoor Holiday Club, which runs for six weeks from Monday 18 July. Visit: www.radmoornursery.co.uk
