Sky News arrived at Loughborough College today to talk politics with Sixth Form students.

Aidan McNamee, Alec Swatton and Hardeep Singh were interviewed by Niall Paterson for the Sophy Ridge on Sunday programme.

All three study A-levels at Loughborough College - Alec, 17, and Aidan, 19 in Politics, History and English and Hardeep, 17, in Economics, Maths and Business.

Alec and Hardeep are eager to reach voting age – Alec believes it should be lowered to 16 – while Aidan voted in the general election and in the referendum. The trio shared their thoughts on Brexit and discussed politicians’ approach to young people.

Aidan visited the Houses of Parliament on 22 March this year with fellow students on a College trip and interviewed Nicky Morgan MP. The group narrowly missing the terror attack on Westminster. “What began as an interesting and educational opportunity ended in the harrowing news… it could’ve been any one of us,” he said afterwards.
