Job Description
Help prevent homelessness across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland
The Bridge is looking for an ambitious and proactive Fundraising and Communications Officer to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser, or communications professional with demonstrable fundraising skills and knowledge, who meets all or most of the essential criteria. Working closely with the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager, you will help grow income, raise awareness of our work, and inspire more people to support our mission of preventing homelessness.
About the role
You will:
- Develop and deliver community fundraising activities and supporter engagement campaigns.
- Build relationships with businesses, schools, community groups and individual supporters.
- Represent The Bridge at third party events and networking opportunities.
- Create engaging digital content across social media, website and fundraising campaigns.
- Support the delivery of flagship fundraising events, including our Annual Gala and Golf Day.
- Help grow digital giving and supporter engagement.
- Track and report on fundraising activity and impact.
About you
We’re looking for someone who has:
- At least two years’ experience in fundraising, within the charity sector.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with a genuine interest and enthusiasm for people.
- Experience creating engaging social media and digital content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and contribute positively to a small team.
- A passion for supporting people at risk of homelessness.
