Following the recent news that Loughborough College secured a significant Innovate UK grant to empower local businesses through artificial intelligence and digital development, the College has announced a partnership with Graffio Arts’ Institute.
Loughborough-based Institute has been selected to join forces with the College in delivering this groundbreaking initiative aiming to revolutionise how local businesses leverage AI and digital technologies for growth.
The pioneering programme is designed to equip small and medium businesses with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in the digital age. Central to this initiative is the collaboration with Institute, a prominent local hub specialising in art, design, and digital technology. Steve Barradell, Managing Director of Institute shared: “The ways that we work continue to evolve and are now typically linked to the use of existing or emergent technology.”
Institute will leverage their expertise and experience to provide businesses with bespoke training that will enable them to harness the power of AI and digital technologies effectively.
Steve continued: “Institute was created to explore the nature of media technology and we are excited to be able to collaborate on the development of knowledge and the acquisition of digital skills that will enable progressive local businesses to thrive.”
This partnership, born from the Innovate UK grant awarded to Loughborough College, is one of just six new developments awarded to further education institutions across the country, totalling a £7.4 million investment nationwide.

The courses will be delivered out of Loughborough’s dedicated Careers and Enterprise Hub, and will cover the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, data collection, pre-processing, machine learning, and predictive analysis.
