Higher Education Students at Loughborough College Group Celebrate Degree Success at Graduation Ceremonies
Friday 18th September 2026

Degree-level students from across Loughborough College Group’s celebrated higher education programmes commemorated their outstanding results with two graduation ceremonies this week.
Held at Loughborough Town Hall on Wednesday 16th September, students gathered to celebrate their achievements across a range of courses, including Business, Sports, Performing Arts, Public Services, Children and Young People, and Engineering.
Addressing graduates at the morning ceremony, Corrie Harris, CEO of Loughborough College Group, said: “You have all achieved many great things, not least your academic qualifications, and we are incredibly proud of you.
“You have been a credit to the College Group, and it is a privilege to have such a talented cohort of students as part of the Loughborough family. As you walk across this platform, be proud, be fearless, and be excited for your journey ahead.”
Graduates were also inspired by a motivational speech from Loughborough College alumnus and Olympic and Commonwealth Games medal holder, Luke Greenbank, who graduated from the College’s degree programme with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Sports Science in 2021. Addressing the graduates, Luke – who earnt silver in the 4x100m medley relay and bronze in the 200m backstroke at both the 2026 Commonwealth Games and 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo – shared: "Loughborough College helped me get the best out of myself...I am deeply grateful, especially for the lecturers and staff who went above and beyond to help me...Their flexibility, understanding and support made a huge difference to me.
"My advice to all of you graduating today is this: do not let setbacks stop you from excelling in your future careers. Be resilient, be organised, take ownership of your journey. Communicate well... and my most important piece of advice is to find something you are passionate about.
Over 330 students graduated from Loughborough College Group’s Loughborough, Brooksby, and Melton campuses this year, with degrees validated by partner universities Loughborough University, De Montfort University, Sheffield Hallam University, and the University of Derby.
Following their ceremonies, graduates marked their achievements with family and friends in the iconic Loughborough Sock Gallery.
