Loughborough College Group Degree Programmes Exceed Benchmarks in National Student Survey
Thursday 9th July 2026
Following the 2026 National Student Survey (NSS), Loughborough College Group’s degree programmes have once again outperformed the sector average in every category of student satisfaction.
As part of the nationwide survey, conducted by the Office for Students (OfS), students were asked a series of questions around their experience with teaching, learning opportunities, academic and pastoral support, and assessment and feedback, with the College Group’s offering earning outstanding results in each category.
Amongst the standout results, students fed back a 99% positivity rate for how good teaching staff are at explaining course content, a 5% advantage on the national benchmark and an increase on last year’s 97% for the same question.
Corrie Harris, CEO for Loughborough College Group shared: “These outstanding results are evidence of the hard work, dedication, and tireless commitment of our Higher Education team. They consistently deliver a high quality, student-focused experience and we are so proud that these results reflect that.”
Associate Dean for Higher Education Quality, Nick Ashley added: “We are truly delighted to receive these excellent results. The NSS is a real reflection of our team’s continued dedication to our students and their experience with us. We are so proud of all of the feedback we received, especially the recognition of how well our mental health and wellbeing services are communicated – earning a 96% positivity rate against a benchmark of 86%.”
Other highlights from the survey include:
- 98% positivity rate for how teaching staff have supported learning (against a 91% benchmark)
- 97% positivity rate for how courses have developed knowledge and skills for the future (against an 89% benchmark)
- 96% positivity rate for how teaching staff value student opinions (against an 84% benchmark)
- 91% positivity rate for how well student feedback on the course is acted upon (against a 77% benchmark)
The NSS gives students the opportunity to rank their higher education provider at the end of the academic journey. All UK universities take part in the survey, alongside colleges providing degree-level programmes, in what is one of the largest studies of its kind.
Loughborough College Group offers a range of undergraduate programmes across the organisation’s Brooksby, Loughborough, and IGNITE campuses. Courses include Animal Management, Criminology and Psychology, Esports, Performing Arts, Teacher Training, Sport, Early Years Education, Engineering, Business and Management, and Public Services.
