CMI Level 3 Diploma Principles of Management & Leadership

Course Overview
The Diploma in Management and Leadership is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Students study part-time and complete written assignments that may be based on your own organisation and job role or more theory based examples. This qualification is suitable for those who are, or wish to become, team leaders and/or supervisors. This includes individuals who are at the start of their career that wish to become team leaders/ supervisors as well as those aspiring or existing managers who may already have developed practical experience but who wish to develop their theoretical understanding of management skills further.
This flexible course is delivered in partnership with Mindful Education, and combines online learning with virtual lessons.
This Level 3 course is part of the Free Courses for Jobs initiative and is fully funded for eligible learners. Alternatively, you can apply for an advanced learner loan to cover the cost of studying this course. Please ask a member of college staff for more information.
Please note: The course starts in October. Attendance is once a month depending on the Unit. A full itinerary will be given in advance of the course.

We have partnered with Mindful Education to deliver this course through our flexible Online and Virtual Classroom model.
Online, you will study award-winning video lessons, which are available on demand, and can be viewed from your phone, tablet or computer – meaning you can choose how, when and where you want to study. Lessons last for around 45-60 minutes and are accompanied by animations and motion graphics to bring concepts to life. Practice questions, downloadable lesson materials and interactive case studies help to enhance the learning experience further and learners should expect to spend around 3-4 hours studying independently online each week.
Virtual Classroom sessions are a key element of the course, and you will benefit from regular sessions with a college tutor. Your tutor will review what you have learnt during your independent online study on the Mindful Education platform, and will be on hand to provide guidance on progress and assessment. Regular discussion with classmates will help to reinforce key points while also providing the additional support and motivation that comes from being part of a group.

Entry requirements
Learners should have achieved qualifications in English and mathematics at a minimum of level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent.
Additional information
This is a distance learning
qualification studied online. The Start Date for this programme is Monday,
13th of October. Online classes will be at 1pm.
The Diploma course will typically take 18 months to complete but can take less depending on the prior experience of the individual.
