Job roles here at Loughborough College are responsible, on a regular basis, to teach, train, instruct and care for supervising children. You will be working on a regular basis with children and depending on your job role, engage in personal care or overnight activity.   • Lecturer in Engineering

    Salary:£33,043 - £38,724 per annum

    We have an exciting opportunity for an engaging, innovative and dynamic Lecturer to teach across our level 2 and 3 BTEC / T level and Apprenticeship Engineering provision.

    You will teach and assess across a range of Engineering subjects that includes Engineering Project and Engineering Communications/Business Improvement. The successful candidate will hold appropriate level of maths knowledge to teach to level 3, and will be able to deliver, or willing to learn, engineering core subjects.

  • Lecturer in Hairdressing & Barbering 0.8

    Salary:£24,442 - £28,648 per annum (Based on FTE £30,553 - £35,810)

    We have an exciting opportunity for an inspiring, dynamic and committed individual who is able to teach on our Hairdressing and Barbering courses. The successful candidate will lead and deliver across our Level 1,2 &3 City and Guild Hairdressing and Barbering qualifications. You will lead programmes and deliver inspirational teaching and learning to ensure all students are supported to succeed in these subjects. 

    You will plan and prepare innovative and effective lessons; assess and give feedback on a regular basis; mark and standardise work in line with exam board regulations; engage with internal and external moderation processes; monitor the performance of students against Alps target grades; and provide effective intervention strategies to ensure the success of all students in meeting or exceeding their target grade. 

  • Primary First Aider and First Aid Training Coordinator (Term-Time Only)

  • Accommodation Support Officer - Nights

    Are you responsible, able to work on your own, flexible, fair, reliable and trustworthy?  Do you have experience of working with young people?  You could be just the person we are looking for.

    We are recruiting an enthusiastic team of Accommodation Support Officer’s to provide welfare, safety and practical support to students aged 16 and over in our 151 bed halls of residence and host family accommodation. The role will involve liaison with student residents, responsibility for security, safety, wellbeing and organisation of events.

  • Sessional Lecturer in Hairdressing & Barbering

    We have an exciting opportunity for an inspiring, dynamic and committed individual who is able to teach on our Hairdressing and Barbering courses. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate students with varied teaching and learning strategies with an emphasis on learners making excellent progress in every lesson.  

    To be considered for this position, you should have experience of teaching and assessment to a high standard to ensure learners gain the skills and knowledge they need to achieve their qualifications successfully. You should have experience of delivering Hairdressing qualifications at all levels. You should be able to work evenings. 

Important Information

EU citizens arriving into the UK after the 1st January 2021 will need apply for a Tier 2 visa to gain right to work in the UK.

To be eligible to apply for a Tier 2 visa, the role advertised will need to have an educational standard of at least A levels and the salary for the role has to be a minimum of £25,600 unless in a shortage area i.e. STEM or if you have a PhD relating to the role.
