Our Early Years Education courses are designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to work with children and young people in a variety of education and care settings. Courses are taught by experienced practitioners and give students the chance to network with students from a range of childcare settings and backgrounds.

  • Foundation Degree in Children and Young People

    Our Foundation Degree programme aims to equip you with the tools to become a successful practitioner by emphasising the importance of critical reflection and work-based experience. Studied part-time over three years, the Foundation Degree aims to give you a firm grounding in children’s and young people’s services. For the duration of the course, students must be working for at least 16 hours per week within the sector. This can be paid or voluntary.

    As a University of Derby validated course, you can take advantage of the facilities provided by both Loughborough College and the university.

  • BA (Hons) in Education Studies Top-Up

    This BA (Hons) degree top-up provides an excellent progression route for students who have completed the Foundation Degree in Children’s and Young People’s Services or equivalent. As a University of Derby validated course, you can take advantage of the facilities provided by both Loughborough College and the university.
