International infrastructure organisation Balfour Beatty has worked with Loughborough College for several years, creating new opportunities for current and upcoming professionals in the construction industry.

Loughborough College is a leader in apprenticeship skill progress, and the Apprenticeship programme provides organisations the chance to access high standard qualifications and support on a professional pathway to future development.

For Lead IQA at Balfour Beatty, Anthony Hubbard said:

"The partnership between Balfour Beatty and Loughborough College has been an incredible opportunity for me to further my professional development. Through the CMDA programme, I'm able to pursue a degree-level qualification while gaining invaluable practical experience on the job. The campus-based learning has been instrumental in deepening my understanding of management principles and equipping me with the skills to take on greater responsibilities. Loughborough College's commitment to delivering high-quality apprenticeship training has empowered me to forge a rewarding career path, regardless of where I am in my journey. I'm grateful to Balfour Beatty for investing in my growth and providing access to such valuable educational resources."

The relationship with Loughborough College has allowed Balfour Beatty to access funding for apprenticeship programmes, affording employees from across the organisation to enhance their skills and professional development, regardless of where they are in their career.
Anthony continued, “We initially partnered with Loughborough College in 2019 and first engaged the College to deliver our higher apprenticeship in Power Networking Engineering before expanding to support our management teams. “We have received a great level of support from the College with the delivery of campus-based learning that has been critical to the success of our people.”

The course content really aligns with industry best practice, and has upskilled me in key skills and areas already, just two modules in.
