Level 2 Award Technical Specialist Neuroscience in Early Years

Course Overview
This qualification’s aim is to provide an introduction to the early development of the brain in babies and young children from birth to 7 years of age. It looks at how the social brain develops, the limbic system and self-regulation. This course also requires you to apply knowledge in to practice at your place of work in an Early Years Setting.
Entry requirements
To complete this qualification you must be working in an appropriate setting as there are some practical skills assessments that need to be uploaded online.
It is advisable that learners already have a Level 2 or equivalent qualification (Five or more GCSE/O levels grade A*-C, one A level, two or three AS levels, NVQ Level 2).
Distance Learning programmes are Fully Funded for eligible adults via the Adult Education Budget.

Learners may wish to progress onto another distance learning course in another subject for example in Adverse Childhood Experiences, Early Years Mental Health, Behaviour that Challenges or Mental Health First Aid and Advocacy in the Workplace or Self-Harm and Suicide Prevention. You may wish to progress onto a Level 3, 4 or 5 Early Years or Teaching Assistant Qualification subject to previous qualifications held.
