Strengthen your team with expert-led training that equips staff with the gold-standard Level 3 Certificate in Coaching from 1st4Sport and the YMCA Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People.

Delivered by experienced coaches, this programme enhances professional development, ensuring your workforce is equipped to coach diverse groups confidently and independently.

An ideal qualification to provide learners with an understanding of the wider UK coaching landscape, exploring key theoretical concepts and contemporary issues for coaches within community settings while developing their professional coaching practice to coach diverse groups of participants in a coaching environment.

This qualification enables learners to independently coach diverse groups of participants within a coaching environment.

Alongside this, learners will achieve their YMCA Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People. The purpose of this qualification is to provide learners with awareness of safeguarding procedures appropriate to their job role and, where appropriate, the ability to implement sufficient safeguarding procedures to safeguard and protect children.

Entry requirements

Candidates must meet all the criteria below to be eligible for the Skills Bootcamps:

  • 19 years of age or older
  • Resident in the UK for the past three years
  • Live in England
  • Have the right to study and work in the UK
  • Must be actively coaching and have experience within the field.

It’s expected learners will have experience of delivering activity within coaching, sport, and/or physical activity environments prior to commencing the qualification.

Qualifications obtained

Gain industry recognised qualifications from 1st4Sport (Level 3 Certificate in Coaching) and YMCA (Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People).
